STATES AND CITIES ARE BEGINNING TO BAN E-CIGARETTES

WARNING! VAPING DEVICES MAY CAUSE RESPIRATORY ILLNESSES, CARDIOVASCULAR ISSUES, AND SEIZURES

In June 2019, the City of San Francisco banned the sale and distribution of vape products. In September 2019, the State of New York issued a 90-day ban on flavored vape products, and Massachusetts issued a four-month ban on both flavored and unflavored products. Michigan and Rhode Island also announced they are moving towards a ban.

The American Lung Association said it supports the move to ban e-cigarette devices and urges action from federal agencies. "In the absence of strong federal action especially by the FDA, states are being forced to make decisions to protect the health of children and adults from a vaping public health emergency," said American Lung Association National President and CEO Harold Wimmer in a statement.
